This award is given to an Emerging Filmmaker
with talent, motivation and a Distinct Vision.
The MIA Group and Project Chicago will work
with this filmmaker to bring their vision to life.

This years recipient will be Sam Travino who’s
project ‘Me and The Gang’ will be made into a
a motion picture.

‘Me and The Gang’ is the coming of age tale
about a group of kids who grow into becoming
a small steel towns deadliest gangsters. The
story is reminiscent of the film Good Fellows
and last years City of God.

An award will be presented to Mr. Travino by
producer and festival director Scott Rudolph at
this years Chicago International REEL Shorts Festival.
